On Tuesday, May 21, the Municipal Primary Election will be held.  Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.    For voting information, please contact the Westmoreland County Elections Bureau at 724-830-3150.  To check where to vote, click on the VotesPA link.  To confirm your voter's registration, click on Voter Registration Database Link or call the Elections Bureau, as noted above.

Important Upcoming Election Deadlines:

Last day to register to vote before the Primary Election was Monday, April 22, 2013.

The Municipality of Murrysville’s Government Offices will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013, in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.  The offices will re-open on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 8:00 a.m.

There will be a ONE-DAY DELAY in trash and recycling service due to the Memorial Day Holiday.  Allied Waste will run a Tuesday through Saturday schedule on the week of May 27, 2013.  For questions, please contact Allied Waste at 1-877-788-9400 (toll-free).

Calling All Community Members!

As Murrysville’s Comprehensive Plan efforts move forward, the Municipality has created a Vision Statement along with accompanying Goals, Objectives and Recommendations/Actions (please click on the link to review the document).  These thoughts will be part of the Municipality’s effort to continue improving the quality of life for its residents and business community over the next decade. 

To ensure these ideas are realistic and reflective of community aspirations, we would appreciate you letting us know what you think.  The Municipality will be hosting a public meeting on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 4100 Sardis Road, Murrysville to give you an opportunity to share your thoughts about what:

1.  Can set Murrysville apart from other places to live; and

2.  Can help make life and business in Murrysville desirable in the years to come.

Act 13 of 2012 (Marcellus Shale Impact Fee), requires that all municipalities receiving Act 13 funds to submit an “Unconventional Gas Well Fund Usage Report” to the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) by April 15^th of each year.  In addition, Act 13 states that “the reports shall be published annually on the county or municipality’s publicly accessible internet website”.  To access the Municipality of Murrysville's Act 13 Report, please click on the Murrysville Report link.
