Chalk the Walk

Join us at Murrysville Community Park on Saturday, May 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to Chalk the Walk! Help us to spread cheer, optimism, creativity and community spirit through your chalk drawings by decorating a section of the walking trail. Your $10.00 donation to this event benefits the Murrysville Parks and Recreation Foundation and provides you a 4’ x 4’ space on the trail to create your masterpiece. Chalk will be provided but feel free to bring your own. Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s trail painting project at MCP. Registration is required; reserve your square here.

Small Fry Scramble

Townsend Park's Small Fry Scramble is a noncompetitive fun run for children ages 12 and under. Ages 6 and under will run a half-mile course while ages 7 to 12 will run a one-mile course, collecting stickers along the route! Volunteers will be cheering along the courses so that all runners are supervised during the entire event. Parents are welcome to run along with their child. All “Scramblers” receive a custom t-shirt, race bib, surprise gift and a post-race party. Capacity is limited, register early!

Pipeline Purge

Can you survive the Purge? How many one-mile laps (with over 400 feet of gain per lap) can you run in two hours?! With elevation spiking near 1350 feet, and an elevation gain of about 400 feet per mile, Townsend’s Pipeline Purge will push your body to the limit. This one-mile figure-eight course sends you up the pipeline, around the trails, and back to the base checkpoint to do it all again. Each lap will be counted as runners cross the checkpoint. This is an untimed race, just complete as many laps as you can! Relax at the post-race Pipeline party with Sly Fox Brewery, music, food and drinks. All participants receive a Purge t-shirt and custom glass; top survivors get some cool awards! Register now!
