    Guests should arrive at 8:30 p.m. for a short presentation on star gazing and the universe. After the presentation guests will be able to view the sky through the privately owned telescopes of volunteer members from the AAAP. This is a FREE event but registration is required.

  7. Bus Trip: Mountain Playhouse:

    June 17, 2020, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM @ Murrysville Community Center

    Honky Tonk Angels features country classics in this hilarious story about three gals who follow their dreams to Nashville. From the creator of Always Patsy Cline, the songs include “Stand By Your Man,” “These Boots Are Made for Walking,” “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “9 to 5,” and “I Will Always Love You.” Fun Stops Along the Way: Before each show we’ll enjoy lunch at the Green Gables restaurant. When registering, guests must indicate whether they want lunch option one, two or three. All lunches include condiments, potato chips, fresh whole fruit, chocolate chip cookie and bottled water. Additional beverages are available at your own cost. When the show concludes we will get back on the bus and head to the Original Pie Shoppe where you can grab a sweet treat at your own cost before the ride home. Each package includes the bus trip, lunch and show.

    Jim Pemberton, a reptile and amphibian enthusiast, will offer a program on reptiles and amphibians in western Westmoreland County, specifically focusing on those you are most likely to encounter on local trails and waterways. After the presentation Jim will lead a walk around the wetlands to explain what reptiles and amphibians call our local wetlands home!
